Brightham House, an adults‑only retreat in Malborough, sits 3.7 km from Salcombe’s sandy coves within South Devon’s Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Each en‑suite boasts Egyptian cotton linens, anti‑allergy pillows, Nespresso, waffle bathrobes, and a flat‑screen TV. The property offers a sun terrace, garden, lounge, bar, and daily à la carte breakfasts, with cycling, walking, and swimming nearby.

Scott and Alistair were fantastic hosts and the breakfasts were superb; we’d definitely suggest staying here.

The layout works well, the bar is fully stocked, and the breakfast selection is five‑star. Service comes with a smile, and the coffee and cake that greeted us on arrival were spot‑on. I’ll come back because the location is nice. Even though we stayed only two nights, the towels were changed and the room was made up—something you don’t get at many places nowadays.

The B&B sits in a great spot halfway between Salcombe town centre and Hope Cove, letting us hit both places easily. Hosts Alistair and Scott were warm, thoughtful and genuinely personable. Every breakfast was hearty, absolutely delicious, and the variety showed high‑quality, local produce. I’m grateful for a wonderful stay and would definitely return!

Scott & Alistair are the best! The place is beautiful for a few days’ stay. The Italian Feast and breakfast menus were delicious. The self‑service bar was also a comfortable spot to relax. Many thanks for your hospitality—we hope to return!
