The rooms are spacious, but the hotel is under renovation and the staff failed to tell me at check‑in that jackhammers would start at 8 am right next to my room, making it impossible to phone because of the noise. They’re planning to keep renovating for the next few months, which I find unacceptable. The in‑room phone was broken, the remote was broken, the air‑con didn’t work, and when I ordered a drink through the manager twice it never arrived.

The strategic location and great price were excellent, the breakfast starts at 10 and is praised, and the staff were superb; nothing to complain about.

The location was good, but the bed wasn’t clean when we arrived, the water bottle was half open, and for the last two mornings there were very loud drilling noises early in the morning; the reception staff could have been kinder.
