“It’s a good hotel but it’s in a rough area”

The property feels like an oasis amid a rough area, and I felt safe staying there; a friend had recommended it because I was heading to a sporting event every morning. My room was fairly clean and the staff were consistently friendly. After a tough day I could use the pool, which was very convenient, and although I didn’t eat at the restaurant, it looked decent. However, stepping outside the hotel puts you in a rough area, which is a real turn‑off and sometimes made me feel unsafe at night. You’re also cut off from facilities on the other side of the highway. Under my sheets I could see some questionable stains on the mattress, but overall the bed linen was clean.

The location was fine, but we were three people and only had two towels, and the room smelled a bit unpleasant in the morning.

“Horrible”

The staff were very friendly and helpful and the location to points of interest was very good, but there was no Wi‑Fi for almost a week, and I was told it had been down for almost two months. There was no hot water, the shower drain didn’t work properly and left puddles that started to smell bad; the puddles left white rings indicating hard water, which also affected the shower nozzles. Any amenities you wanted required you to go down to the desk and request them in person. Breakfast was horrible, no buffet, only a menu order, and only one option if you’re not used to local food. The toast was just slapped on the plate, no butter or jam offered, so you had to eat it plain and you’ll like it! I bought the free breakfast option, but I couldn’t give the tickets to friends if I skipped a day, and if I did skip a day I was out of luck and couldn’t double up the tickets. A friend ordered a coffee refill, had used sugar and creamer packets on a saucer, the guy refilled the coffee, gave it back with trash still on the cup and no new cream or sugar. In short, the upper manager or upper management needs to be promoted to guest and go back to hospitality school.

The staff were very respectful and helpful, the room was clean and comfortable, but the traffic noise was an issue, which isn’t the hotel’s fault.

“Great place to stay for family with kids within Clark Freeport”

The staff are very friendly and helpful, and a shout out to Eunice at the front desk for being very cordial and proactive. The hotel sits on a quiet corner away from other busy spots. However, the shower fixture, sink (which drains slowly), and bidet are leaking and need fixing, and there’s no dishwashing soap provided.
