The place, the building, the gardens, the olive trees, the access, the parking, the room’s charm, the majestic dining room, and the terrace in front of the room bathed in morning sun are all lovely. One detail: I love cats, but the kittens meow a lot at night, especially…

The setting is charming—a farmhouse on the outskirts of Monopoli, with a large garden, excellent breakfast, good restaurant, and the building is old but refurbished while keeping its style; overall very nice. The downside is that the room had no windows, the door opened onto the window at the same time, the sink was in the room instead of the bathroom, and it was small.

The staff were fantastic, so helpful and friendly. The views were good and the reception area good. The rooms were not great; one plug socket by the sink so for phone charging, kettle etc that was it unless you unplug the bedside light. The breakfast room was situated in a cave with some lights, very lovely for the history of the building but not so uplifting to eat in. Lastly, they had a 'party' on the Saturday night which they informed us guests were invited to. We thought maybe it was a wedding and were perplexed when we arrived back from dinner at 10pm and nothing was happening. It started at 11.30pm until gone 3am with loud rave music, so no sleep for us
