I really enjoyed the garden space with the animals, and the stunning mountain view. There were a bit too many people passing by from other cottages, so it felt a little intrusive.

At the Grand Colombier, on the edge of a picturesque village in the Rodan valley, surrounded by hills with the Alps on the horizon, there was a large house with a garden and three well‑furnished apartments. We received detailed instructions on how to use the appliances and keep the place clean and tidy to fully relax and feel the magic of this unique spot. The children were delighted by the garden full of animals and greenery, and we were especially taken with the terrace overlooking the Alps. The apartment was well equipped and comfortable. On hot days we missed air conditioning, especially in the bedrooms. Mosquito nets would be useful on all windows. The area has many farm animals and wetlands, which brings a lot of flies and mosquitoes. In the kitchen, better counter lighting would be nice.

The location is great. The beds are comfortable. Everything you need for a relaxing holiday is there.

The apartment is spacious, completely redone and very well fitted, the grounds are extensive and peaceful, and the terrace is truly outstanding; however, the lower‑floor bedroom had beds that were too small for our two very tall boys.
