“Preis-Leistungsverhältnis stimmt nicht!”
The view of the sea is unbeatable, and the location is good, but the construction site next door (especially the sight) and the playground right in front of the hotel were annoying. There was already a lot of foot traffic outside the hotel early in the morning, so sleeping in was impossible. The hotel is easy to reach, the reception staff are friendly and helpful. The minibar is nice and free of charge. The lounge is especially comfortable, with free coffee among other things. And the luggage storage is great; my ferry left at 17.00, so I didn’t have to drag my suitcase all day. The hotel is clearly old and in urgent need of renovation. From the outside you can see deterioration with peeling paint, wood damage and rust spots. In the bathroom the shower divider needs to be replaced; it keeps sticking and hardly closes. The bathroom window is so high that I couldn’t open it (no step available); a chair can’t fit through the door opening because it isn’t wide enough. I found it very disturbing that there is no partition to the neighbor’s balcony, so privacy is “zero”. When the curtains are not closed, the neighbors can look into the room (bed). I had a top‑floor room with wooden beams, and every evening a pigeon would land on them and refuse to leave, leaving a lot of droppings on the balcony floor… it would be easy to put obstacles on the beams. Overall the hotel feels a bit “unloved”; the kettle is limescale‑covered; the soap dispenser in the shower is broken inside and unusable. Lamps, door locks, etc. are crooked; the drill holes are visible. The bathroom roller is partially torn; the curtains in front of the balcony door are old and partially torn. The outdoor area is not very comfortable. Other hotels offer tables and chairs in the front garden; here that is missing. For around €150,00 per night I expected something better!
