A bit off the beaten path, but great for relaxation and excellent for hiking; the smokers next door and the doors being open or closed are annoying.

The place is close to Ilmenau and the Festhalle, and the owners really try hard to keep the rooms clean. Even though there were booking hiccups, I got an extra bed and the sofa‑bed was taken away. The view was pretty good, but I couldn’t use the existing blinds, which is just a bit of high‑level whining.
