The host welcomed us warmly, the apartment is well situated, and the view is very pleasant. Paulo gave great suggestions for booking tours and restaurants, and it was lovely that he spoke to us in French.

The view is postcard‑worthy. It’s a short walk to a grocery store. The room is very comfortable, and I loved the balcony that offers a view of the mountains, the sea, and Funchal. I would have liked to be able to prepare hot meals; the kitchenette only has a toaster, a kettle, and a very small fridge.

The spot, the area, and the hotel itself are fantastic, and there were no issues at all.

The place was very clean and beautiful. Most tourists didn’t keep the main entrance door of the common building closed, and it slammed loudly, but that was due to some tourists lacking proper etiquette.

The stunning view and balcony were great, and the location was nice. The bed was hard, there was no shower holder, there was a lot of nighttime noise, a foul smell in the room, no microwave which would have been very handy, and there were no hairpins.
