“Schönes Haus, insgesamt aber nicht ganz überzeugend”
The wellness area is nice, and the kids’ room is cool with table tennis, foosball, PlayStation, etc. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The missing bike storage was oddly solved by using a storage spot in an office in an adjacent building, but it holds a maximum of 4 bikes. The majority of the staff speak no German, which is a pity. There is no breakfast buffet, leading to wait times and misunderstandings, and the overall breakfast service quality could be improved. Three days before a scheduled group meeting, the kids’ playroom was cleared and set up with three tables; it could have been available the morning of the meeting. The hotel bar is very empty, and you have to call staff to get service. The price‑performance ratio is off with a 21 CHF Hugo. There are no bike‑parking rooms, no children’s menu in the restaurant, and no flexibility to offer smaller portions for kids. Nearby restaurants work fine.
