The apartment sits right in the heart of Rome, within walking distance of all sights and the main shopping streets that host every premium brand. We struggled to reach staff because communication mainly happened via WhatsApp, and when I couldn’t send a message there I had to send one through Booking, to which I never received a reply.

“Vacanze romane con sorpresa!”

Its central position in the heart of Rome was the reason we chose this place, as we had done on previous holidays. Unfortunately a series of problems marred the stay: a mix‑up with the deposit payment, the TV was broken, the bathroom amenities were outdated, the mattress was old, construction work sounded at 8 am, and the staff’s polite responses felt dismissive, as if we were being mocked.

The location was the only good thing. Cleanliness was terrible; they didn’t replace the soap, the pillows were expired and the springs were noticeable. It couldn’t possibly be a 4‑star hotel, it was very expensive for what it offered. The walls were grimy and the access was awful – they left the keys in a box with cables. If you’re only after the location it’s fine, but nothing else. Cleaning meant just making the beds, and the armchairs were broken.
