I paid without the possibility of cancellation two weeks in advance. I felt abandoned upon arrival. The room was tiny, with a slanted loft that only allows standing at the entrance. To reach the bed you have to walk through it—there’s no space. The window (70 × 70 ?) is at floor level. The view is a dull mountain panorama, and the fields are freshly fertilised. The bathroom is shared with two other rooms: six users, one toilet. I admit I’m the fool for not reading the notes. The fact that the bathroom was shared is written in the middle of the normal list of services. Normally, for 80 €, in Traversetolo (PR), not Florence inside Palazzo Vecchio, not Milan inside the Duomo during a fair, my expectation is a private bathroom (inside or outside, it hardly matters). Moreover, listing a shared bathroom in the offered services is not an added value. Usually, you’re separately warned that the bathroom and shower are external—imagine sharing them with four other people. I did not appreciate the reminder call from a private, unofficial site number, and the harsh, stingy tone is not suitable for hospitality. I didn’t like that neither on the phone nor in person, not even once did they say good morning; it was up to me to show courtesy at all times. Polite, but not willing to play along, even when they offered me another free double room—by coincidence—for an extra 40 €. A wide space opened for many allegations that I did not voice. I say that I have experienced this around the world, that after my polite, firm, concrete complaints they apologized and found me a decent room. I politely informed that for the moment, the 80 € could be kept, and I returned to Bologna without unnecessary quarrels. I stayed at this property and was extremely satisfied. The rooms are very welcoming, clean, and well‑maintained, making guests feel at home immediately. A special thanks to the owners, who are truly helpful, kind, and caring. In the morning the owner even personally prepared breakfast for me and, with great courtesy, offered to drive me to a nearby spot, showing an attentiveness to guests that is increasingly rare today. Beyond the comfort of the facility, what really makes a difference is the human warmth and the ability to make guests feel like they’re in their own home, never experiencing any difficulty or discomfort. A fully positive experience that I strongly recommend to anyone looking not only for good accommodation but also for genuine and sincere hospitality.
