Barabas Luzern is situated in Luzern, a 3-minute walk from Chapel Bridge, and within a 10-minute walk of Glacier Garden Lucerne. This unique hotel, formerly a prison renovated in 2018, preserves original cell designs in its small rooms with en-suite bathrooms. A continental breakfast is served daily. I had a super fun time, the place was clean and tidy, the location was fantastic, the breakfast was great, and the staff were incredibly friendly. Everything else was fine – next time we’ll probably book two rooms for two adults and two kids instead.

It is a quirky place being an Old Jail. The rooms have a great large very clean shower/bathroom space which is appreciated. The rooms however are tight which of course you expect. We had twin beds which would have been better to have been bunks to give us more room. Room & Bathroom were clean. Staff are very helpful. We did not like that there is no where to sit in the room or in the area of the Hostel that was comfortable. They do provide a common room but it is two small cells together in a dark gloomy room. There is an outside garden which is ok

The staff were great and the location was good, but I was given a queen bed that I didn’t receive, and the room was very small with no table.
