Georgi Schloss - Boutique Hotel

The breakfast room was fine. I booked the Fürstenzimmer, or Fürstensuite, for my husband and me for his 60th birthday, and it costs over 200.-, more than the other rooms. When you think of a Fürstensuite, you expect something different than this room. It’s dark, the décor is tasteless, and from the bed you can only see the oddly built-in bathroom—no view from the room. The booking showed a white room with brown rafters, and if the hotel owners claim otherwise, I can only deny it. I deliberately avoided the Turmsuite because the photo looked dark and not very nice; I think that will match. Our room does not appear in any image—so it’s a fake. The breakfast room closes at night, leaving no place to stay. There’s no foyer or bar, so we won’t book there again.

The castle is a real gem and the family suite with its terrace is fantastic; the staff were very friendly and accommodating, and the nearby walkable spot is also lovely. Unfortunately, the immediate surroundings of the castle are marred by utilitarian buildings.

The room was stylish and cozy, the bed was amazing, parking was convenient, breakfasts were good, and a two‑star Michelin restaurant was close by—though we missed it, I’d advise booking in advance. Everything else was great, but the bathroom lacked disposable toiletries.

The accommodation was dreamy, rooms were spacious and spotless, staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful, and we received excellent suggestions for excursions and local taverns; breakfast was outstanding.
