Our host, Mike, made us feel at home. The room was spacious, clean, and very comfortable. The view from our room was amazing—looking out to Russell across the bay. Breakfast was very tasty and beautifully presented. A perfect stay.

The view is breathtaking. Mike, as the host, is very nice, cares a lot about his guests, and gives great tips for excursions. There was nothing we didn’t like. All accommodations in New Zealand are noisy.

“Heerlijke plek om te zijn”

What a wonderful place to stay. The view is fantastic, and the jacuzzi was a great way to unwind after a long day. Mike is friendly and makes a full breakfast in his kitchen; you can specify what you want. We’ve never seen such a breakfast: yoghurt, muesli, fresh fruit, orange juice, tea, coffee, eggs, bacon, toast, baked tomato, rosti, and jam. It’s included in the price along with the use of the jacuzzi and bathrobes. The room also smells pleasantly fresh. Mike gives you all the info you need, and the room is cleaned daily, towels replaced, etc. We actually find the price too low for what you get, even when we see what others charge. Nothing.

“prefect!!”

We spent two nights at Bayaterviews and everything was fantastic. The front garden offers an incredible view right from the start, and the room itself was spacious, beautiful, and very comfortable, giving the feel of a five‑star hotel but with a more personal, homely vibe. Mike, our host and chef, was amazing—his clear instructions and helpful tips were much appreciated—and meeting Wookie, the sweet, calming dog, was a delightful bonus. Every minute of our stay was enjoyable, and we’re already looking forward to another visit. Thanks, Mike and Wookie! ❤️
