Laichmoray Hotel

“Lovely staff and breakfast, disappointing room.”

The staff were welcoming and friendly, and the breakfast was excellent. I didn't like the room: the sink was positioned over the toilet cistern, so I had to reach over the toilet to use it, the bathroom was very narrow, and a high window made the space feel claustrophobic; it would have been much better as a single room with a larger, more usable bathroom.

“Nice stay”

Nice hotel, friendly staff, and exceptional food; I would prefer not to pre‑order breakfast.

“Great for a wee break.”

The room suited us perfectly, the restaurant was really good, and the staff were very friendly with no problems; however, the breakfast menu could have offered more options on the form to inform guests about available items such as types of fruit and yogharts.

“Well run hotel, with a nice restaurant and bar handy for the Cairngorms”

Well run hotel with a traditional Scottish appearance, comfortable rooms, a nice restaurant and separate bar, and a handy location near the centre of Elgin and half an hour from the Cairngorms; doors and walls need sound‑proofing.

Friendly, helpful staff, a really clean room, and good breakfast – they even fetched special rolls for us.
