“Un balcon sur la vieille ville”

The studio in the old town has a quaint, over‑the‑top charm that suits its location. A small balcony is nice, though the chairs aren’t comfortable. The tiny kitchen is fine for snacks but nothing more. What bothered me most was the Wi‑Fi, which barely worked; I had to use my 5G. I messaged the host but got no reply. Walking from the bus station is very tiring, especially with heavy luggage, and it’s hard to find, taking 45 minutes. The cushions could have removable covers so they could be washed.

The spot was great, but the apartment had several things that could be better. The Wi‑Fi was very weak and unreliable. The furniture was old and quite worn, and the windows needed updating. Sound insulation was almost non‑existent: you could hear everything, from neighbors chatting to people walking down the street—felt like being in “Casa di Papel”! 😅 Another issue was the fridge: when you left the apartment and removed the key from the sensor, the fridge would shut off. That should be fixed, because it’s not normal for the fridge to stop working when you exit.

The location was perfect, tucked into a lane full of little shops and restaurants. Anything you wanted was within walking distance, even the beautiful Venetian harbor. From the balcony you could see the sea, and the beaches were just a stroll of less than 10 minutes away. The only downside was the tiny bathroom; otherwise everything was just fine.

It was a very welcoming spot in the old town. I could drop off my luggage before check‑in in the morning. The atmosphere was excellent, with Greek music on the street and friendly people. Chania and this place were a pleasant surprise.
