Mara River Safari Lodge Bali

Everything was great: the 7‑person room had 4 rooms – two full bedrooms each with its own bathroom, a room with two beds also with its own bathroom, and a single‑occupancy room. The living area was huge with a balcony. Breakfast was wonderful, and the stay included a safari park, an aquapark, and a pool overlooking the animals. The park wasn’t crowded, almost feeling like a communion with nature. However, many things cost extra, like visiting the penguins and feeding the animals. A lot of activities ran on a schedule, which was inconvenient, and the price was quite high.

The staff were amazing, friendly, helpful, and always cheerful. The themed park areas were lovely and the view of the animals was mind‑blowing. I couldn’t fault the grounds’ upkeep, and guests at the hotel could enter the park first and see the animals before the crowds. The Halloween‑themed buffet food was incredible—so creative! Having different animals around the lobby and food area let kids pet and learn about them, which was great. The four‑poster beds were very uncomfortable and hard. The tops of the mosquito nets and the horn light still had dead animals on them that hadn’t been removed. The window sills needed cleaning; I found a dead gecko on one. The air‑conditioner in the main room and living area didn’t work well, making the living room uncomfortable.

“An African safari feel in Bali”

The hotel is done so well. You feel like you’re in Africa on a safari park. The restaurant with a view of the lions was amazing!. The food could be improved

“Great for a family”

Shuttle to Libby and zoo free water. The room needs some maintenance: doors don’t close properly, the shower leaks onto the floor, and the AC isn’t working very well.
