The Palms - Seraya Shores Retreat Bali

The place used to be amazing, but it has somewhat deteriorated. The sea was gorgeous, and we watched waves at breakfast, though we couldn’t get into the water because of the waves and rocks. I really liked the beautiful bathroom under the open sky. The breakfast was a bit worse, and it’s a shame that yoga classes no longer take place.

We had a fantastic stay! The rooms, though a bit older, are still nice, comfortable, and well maintained. The views were stunning, and the staff were friendly, warm, and helpful throughout. We enjoyed every moment and would love to come back.

The property is very nice, right on the sea with a lovely little park. The rates are very affordable, and the food is good. The owners are very friendly and always reachable via WhatsApp or in person, and there’s a good selection of vegetarian dishes that they cook well. The building is aging and not airtight, so insects and geckos appear in the rooms. It feels more like a guesthouse or B&B than a full restaurant, and swimming in the sea is impossible due to high waves and large rocks.

“Hidden gem”

The rawness was striking, but the view was the best we’ve seen since Bali; it was quiet, relaxing, and perfect for a honeymoon, though bars and restaurants were a 15‑minute taxi ride away. The best basi gorang came from there.
