The staff were very friendly and helpful. The place is wonderful in the forest, and the name “Source of the Forest” fits. The Kaiseki dinner was amazing! The lounge offered drinks and coffee free of charge all day. Unfortunately there was no sauna in the women’s onsen, the dress code was a challenge for us, and an English guide would have helped.

The food was excellent. It’s rare to find an all‑you‑can‑drink accommodation, and I was satisfied with the good quality Japanese sake. I couldn’t find any major issues, but if I had to mention something, the garden had a bit of overgrown weeds and could be better maintained. The fountain was present, but a slightly warmer color than pure white would have added more mood.

The place was spotless and the staff were extremely courteous, making my stay comfortable. The hallway carpet felt luxurious too, which I liked. There were no complaints.

The atmosphere was calm, letting me dine at my own pace. The selection of drinks was plentiful, which was a big plus for anyone who drinks. The courtyard felt a bit empty; a little lighting would help.
