A family‑run place with a genuine, cozy vibe; the owner cooks herself. It’s a rustic, down‑to‑earth tavern in the best sense, and the food is delicious. The rooms are simple and functional. We brought our dog, and everything worked out fine—he had to stay outside during the open buffet in the morning, which was totally acceptable. Looking forward to coming back next year.

We were transferred to another building and that place had a lot of issues. Several times the door code didn’t work and we talked to staff about it. Finally the room opened, but it was still dirty from the previous guest. We got a different room, and the door code failed again. The hosts were annoyed. Later we received the key, but the lock fell out. The bathroom light was half broken, the hair dryer was broken, and there were also arguments when paying.

We booked two small single rooms. Everything was very practical for traveling with a dog. The accommodation was very clean and the food at the hotel is worth recommending.

We wanted to see a few cities, which we did, but the cruise to the Danube bend didn’t happen because the river was low. The rooms were good, clean, and had balconies. Breakfast was as it should be, with various rolls and bread, sausage, cheese, eggs, etc.—everything you could wish for! A free parking spot was included in the price, and at the on‑site restaurant (with beer garden) you could feast from the heart! Just the warm dishes alone made the trip worthwhile. The “boss” cooks are outstanding! I had to check my weight at home afterwards. If we ever return to this area, we’ll know where to book. The area isn’t just for fossil collectors, but also for hikers and cyclists. Thanks to the Eggerts for the lovely days and the very friendly atmosphere! The only downside was that the streets were very narrow and shopping options were limited.
