Everything was beautiful, and I was surprised to find a pool I didn’t know existed. I had booked a suite, so the room size was exceptional. Unfortunately the restaurant was closed that week, but we ate wonderfully at the bistro. The staff were very kind. I hope they addressed the free‑roaming cat colony that frequented the farm during those days; I had asked someone to arrange spay‑neuter and vaccination, and in the meantime, like some American tourists, I did what I could to feed and water them. As an animal lover and volunteer, the treatment of the wildlife is very important to me when evaluating a property. The lights are too bright—what a shame, because everything else is truly amazing. I’m talking about the rooms and common areas; a little adjustment would make them even better.

The estate’s house, farm, shop, bar and restaurant give off a quirky charm. A large courtyard shaded by plane trees, the roof terrace, and the pool area with plenty of loungers and parasols offer many chances to unwind. In the shop you’ll find everything produced on the estate – milk and cheese, sausages and meats, fruit, vegetables, bread and wine – and you can eat lunch in the courtyard, getting plates, cutlery and chilled drinks from the bar if you wish. Everything feels very relaxed. For the evening, the restaurant with its lovely outdoor area is worth a visit. Unfortunately, the Wi‑Fi in the room and on the upper floors didn’t work. The staff were aware and plan to tackle it soon.
