The location! Just meters from the main train station for those arriving by train, and the parking is close but paid separately. The facilities are a bit old but well cared for. The restaurant chairs for breakfast are very old and have many worn‑out armrests due to use.

I was greeted by very friendly staff, but the building felt dilapidated and dirty, with worn carpets in the corridors and rooms that seemed untouched for 40 years. The breakfast was basic, lacking cheese, and the coffee was terrible. The area right in front of the hotel was filthy and stinky, much like the general state of France, and it felt like a total downgrade. It even dripped in the hallways during rain, which is outrageous for the price! I grew up on a farm and I'm not delicate, but the Grand Hotel is just too expensive and a burden even for French standards.

“Great location just outside Avignon old town!”

The location was great—just cross the street and you're in the old town. The air‑conditioning could have been cooler, and daily bottled water would have been nice, although the reception staff were always happy to give me water whenever I asked.

Très bon hôtel avec accès depuis le parking. Nous avion une belle chambre avec une petite terrasse. Bien situé, proche d'une porte des remparts. La petite piscine et la terrasse sur le toit est un plus appréciable
