“The best place and GEM to stay in Tentana.”

The location is a bit away from the busy part of the village but reachable by scooter. The shower was the best I’ve had in Sulawesi, the bed was wonderful, and the sound of running water, crickets, and owls made it perfect. Herson speaks excellent English, helps with everything, knows the area well, and arranged a tour to the waterfalls (great cool swim) with a stop at a tofu factory (very impressive) and possibly a small beach near a hotel. His son, Nathan, makes tasty shakes and coffee, and his wife Joice serves the best Gado Gado.

“Must visit around lake Poso”

I spent four nights at Dolidi Ndano Resort and it turned out to be a truly memorable experience. The owner and host, Son, is incredibly kind and goes out of his way to ensure guests have a fantastic stay. The resort is beautifully arranged with a garden and a pier overlooking the lake. They serve homemade lunch and dinner that are far superior to anything else in Tentena; the bami goreng special is a must‑try with its generous portion. Inside the house, there’s a barista who makes excellent cappuccinos with oat milk. If you’re lucky, Son will share a bit of the resort’s background story. I would strongly recommend a 2‑ or 3‑day visit when you’re near Lake Poso, so you can appreciate the resort’s beauty and explore the nearby Saluopa Waterfalls in Tentena. The only downside is that you need to plan a 20‑minute drive to the town, but that’s easy to manage if you rent a cheap scooter for 100k.

“Geweldige gastheer en mooie locatie!”

The host welcomed us warmly and handled everything for us, even renting scooters that took us to the waterfalls – highly recommended. The stay is a 15‑minute drive from Tentena, which gives a quiet spot with beautiful wildlife and lake views. The food was delicious, with tasty local dishes at a good price. We left very early the second night (5 am), and the breakfast times were even adjusted for us.

It was perfect. The owner is super welcoming, the place is more beautiful than the photos, the garden is blooming and well maintained. You can rent a scooter on site for 100 k a day and eat their food at lunch or dinner if you want. I recommend it.
