“Décevant”

The studio is roomy and surprisingly well‑furnished. The bedding is good, the bathroom is lovely, but we’d have preferred a kitchenette instead of a jacuzzi—just a matter of taste! It was quiet and well‑situated. The lack of light was a problem: no windows in the bedroom, very little storage, the wardrobe was full of bedding, no hangers, very few hooks. There is a kettle and two cups on the small bedroom table, but no tea or coffee.

“Etna en famille”

The location is great and the building and apartment are modern. The smell of sweat on the bedding when we arrived and the dampness in the dark bathroom were the least enjoyable aspects. The washing machine isn’t in the apartment as advertised but shared with the whole building, and the staff I dealt with were far from courteous!

A bit hidden but very quiet in a small side street. Everything needed for self‑catering is there and it’s been modernised with a lot of love. Parking a 50 m away directly on the main street is a bit unusual but even free. Nothing else to note.

The room is very well equipped and stylishly decorated, with a bathroom, and the host was very helpful. It’s a great base for trekking around Etna. We stayed off‑season, so the town was quiet, and nearby we found a modest local pizzeria with a tasty selection.

The room was very pretty and easy to enter. There’s a huge window in front of the bed with no curtains or blinds, and the light that comes in plus many neighbouring units made me feel uncomfortable. There’s a motion detector in the room that also lights up and changes colour. The terrace is beautiful, but the room lacks a decent chair, table, drying rack… it’s empty.
