John was a fantastic host and very accommodating. We’d definitely stay again or recommend it to other travelers. Because we had a tee time, John made sure a nice homemade breakfast was ready early in the morning before we had to head out. He’s a very nice man. The view from the bedroom was amazing and the place was easy to find, just a 3‑minute drive from the ferry terminal.

The location was perfect after a late‑night ferry; it was just a 5‑minute drive and we were warmly welcomed on arrival in the dark. Nothing was wrong – the room was lovely and comfortable.

The double room overlooking the Loch was beautiful, the updated bathroom was exceptional, and the bento breakfast offered lots of choice. It’s probably our favourite stay in 30 days of touring Scotland (NC 500, Orkneys, Skye, Harris/Lewis, Mull/Iona). We were only about a 2‑minute drive from the Harris Hotel where we had dinner. John was a wonderful host! I liked everything.
