The view was great, but the hygiene was awful and a seriously sick, wounded dog roamed the grounds with a large open wound. I tried to help it, but it was nearly impossible and the staff didn’t acknowledge the issue. It was heartbreaking; I believe the accommodation is responsible for keeping a half‑dead dog on its property—this animal needed a vet.

The place is gorgeous with stunning mountain views, and the restaurant offers decent food at reasonable prices. The setting is quite remote, so you rely on their jeep shuttles to get in and out. The igloos lack AC, so they get very hot and bright from about 8 am onward. Booking a tour through them costs 25 %–50 % more than a Ubud tour, which is odd because they’re closer to Mount Batur, and most operators won’t pick you up from hotels outside Ubud.

The lady at reception, wearing a hijab, is a 10/10 legend—iconic queen. The place is stunning, but an insane number of flies made it extremely uncomfortable.
