The room felt quiet and the surfaces were in great shape, with tasteful décor and a comfortable bed, plus blackout curtains. It would have been nice to have a smart TV, and we only discovered the restaurant was closed after we got there, which was disappointing because we had been hoping to eat after a day on the road; that missed dining option did affect our overall impression.

The surroundings were pleasant, the public areas and our room were tidy, and the space in the room was huge – we only missed having a small sofa or armchair instead of the wooden chair. The breakfast spread was pretty ordinary; many items ran out quickly and we had to wait a long time for refills. Only one type of roll was offered, the bacon was undercooked and sat in fat.
