The hotel’s central location allows easy walking to all sights, while the train station lies 900 m away with frequent bus connections.

A beautiful room in a superb location; stepping through the front doors felt like stepping into the 13th century, quiet as ever. Nothing else.

The access instructions were sent early, and I never met the staff, which was fine. They were happy to let me leave the city tax on departure. The place is great, quirky, full of character, with a very comfortable bed and a well‑equipped room. The bathroom is tiny, but I’m large and it was no problem at all, with plenty of hot water and good pressure. The location is excellent, tucked into a quiet alley right in the centre of the old walled city—a real find, and I’d definitely stay again. Nothing at all, except that there is no fresh breakfast, but that’s made clear beforehand and there are plenty of nearby spots for coffee and pastries.

The walls of the room were a real showstopper, with exposed bricks and Renaissance frescoes that gave a fairy‑tale vibe. Even though breakfast wasn’t included, coffee, fruit juice, crackers with jam and chocolate were available. Irina in the lobby was very welcoming and made us feel at home.
