Located in Idanha-a-Nova, a historic 800-year-old town near the Spanish border, Hotel Estrela Da Idanha offers modern rooms with neutral decor, wooden furniture, and air-conditioning. The hotel features 2 swimming pools, a minigolf course, and serves a breakfast buffet with seasonal fruits, eggs, and hot beverages. It's a 5-minute drive to the Tagus International Nature Park and 35 minutes to Castelo Branco.

Breakfast was excellent with plenty of options. Super! We were well served by the friendly staff and got immediate answers to our questions. The only downside was that a small fridge in the room would be helpful during the hot temperatures.

Clean, adequate climate control, good location, secure parking. The soundproofing is poor, the price is too high, there are no power outlets near the bed, the lighting is outdated, the breakfast is basic self‑service with no local products, which is unacceptable for the price charged.

The hotel has functional facilities but needs a general renovation. There is a pool (I didn’t use it). The hotel has spacious common areas. The room is reasonably sized. Staff are helpful. There is good outdoor parking. Air conditioning is available. It’s a 3‑star hotel with no big surprises. The hotel needs a complete remodel, especially the rooms, which are very outdated and the beds need replacing. The value for the two days I stayed isn’t very favorable – 162€ for two nights without PA. I think this reflects the lack of alternatives and competition in Idanha a Nova.
