“Tolle Lage und schönes Zimmer - leider durch Geruchsmangel im Bad unbewohnbar”

I was there over the weekend with three girlfriends. The location is truly unbeatable, right on the Reeperbahn and perfect. The room itself also looked very nice, it was well furnished and clean. Unfortunately, there was a serious problem: a very unpleasant, extreme smell rose from the bathroom and spread throughout the room after a short time. The bathroom had no window, so there was no way to ventilate. Without that stench, we would definitely book the hotel again for our next Hamburg visit. Because of the persistent odor, another stay is no longer possible for us. Very sad about the otherwise nice hotel!

When I arrived, the hotel door wouldn’t open and I ended up standing outside for about an hour. I called the front desk repeatedly, but no one answered and there was no help available. Standing outside a hotel for an hour without any assistance is completely unacceptable to me. The room I was given was nothing like the photos on the booking site; it was a tiny attic room, extremely cold, and the heating was inadequate. It’s especially disappointing that the property is advertised with images that don’t reflect the real experience, giving a false impression of what you’re actually booking. I had booked this place as a surprise birthday gift, but instead of a lovely celebration it turned into a major letdown and ruined the whole surprise. I’m very disappointed and definitely would not book this hotel again. The lack of accessibility, the room, and the misleading online representation all fell far short of my expectations.

Simple room layout. Ease of access. Very clean. Lots of street noise, but i expected that given the location

“Unser Aufenthalt hat uns sehr gefallen.”

The location was great, right in the middle of the Reeperbahn, and the S-Bahn station was just 100 m away. Breakfast was superb at the partner hotel Hansehof. The hotel has no elevator, so getting to the 3rd floor requires fitness.
