The hotel was clean and the staff were very accommodating, but the room was under construction and the breakfast was bad.

The place felt like a construction site—baseboards were ripped out and the floor was cold. The view from my room was a disappointment.

I appreciated how close gas stations, restaurants, and the highway were. However, seeing a mother and child outside the doors early in the morning while I was checking out and asking for money was unsettling; it seemed they were after more than just milk. Security could be better, but the rooms and breakfast were nice and quiet.

I was impressed by the check‑in staff who stayed calm even though he was the only one at the desk during the lineup for the roughrider game against Winnipeg on a long weekend. Still, it would have been better to have more than one person checking guests in at that time.
