“It was horrific!!”
I couldn’t find anything I enjoyed about the property. Where do I start? When we first arrived, we noticed right away that there were people there who looked like they lived there daily. The first floor was buckled and bubbling. We stayed on the second floor, and I noticed our door, as well as many others, had large gaps between the door and the frame. It was just me and my four children; we looked in the room and it seemed decent for the price, then realized there were only two towels and two washcloths for four people. It was evening, so we were checked in by a kiosk with someone who was remotely away. I texted the app that had sent me a message before arrival asking if I needed anything to reach out on the app. I asked how to get more towels, and it told me there would be a live agent at the front desk by 6 AM. We went out for dinner and came back. One of the kids went to shower and we realized the towels were either dirty or severely stained. Then someone noticed blood on the comforter and one of the pillowcases. Pulling the blanket back revealed blood on the sheets and other stains. When I messaged the app, it apologized and told me to go down to the front desk first thing in the morning for help. It was late, I didn’t have the money to abruptly leave and go to another hotel. I told the app I’d like a full refund. In the morning, with all our bags packed and ready to go, I told them I would be checking out and not staying another night. I’d like a refund and the cancellation fee waived. The guy was very apologetic and said he was sorry. He explained that because I booked through a third‑party I’d have to contact them, but he would do whatever he could to make this right. It was a long day trying to reach anyone by phone or email. The property is also no‑smoking.
