Everything was fine, just average. The staff were well trained, breakfasts and dinners were very good, the beds were comfortable and the spa area was nice. Overall, it was all great. I didn’t like the sauna rule – no swimsuits allowed (you can cover yourself with sheets) and kids under 18 are not allowed. Some people still go there anyway.

“Good food and a clean hotel, but some aspects of the stay were disappointing.”

The food was very good, the hotel was clean, and the location was excellent. The wellness area was also clean and well-maintained. Unfortunately, the sound insulation in our room was very poor. We could hear every door slamming, the lift operating and chairs being dragged around, which repeatedly woke up our baby. Apart from the receptionist and one very friendly waiter, hardly anyone spoke English, and many signs and information notices were not available in English. At first, we thought this was simply an oversight, especially nowadays when technology makes communication so much easier. However, some interactions with staff gradually gave us the impression that international guests were not particularly welcome, or that making them feel comfortable was not really a priority. This was quite disappointing. Although the baby cot charge was mentioned in the booking information, we would have appreciated being clearly informed of the additional cost when the receptionist asked whether we needed one. Regarding the parking fee, there was no prior information or notification at all. Both charges were simply added to our bill at the end of our stay, which we found disappointing and lacking in transparency

Fantastic food, plenty of options at the restaurant. The staff were friendly and helpful. Thank you for the nice wine we received at check‑out. :) The French bed was extremely hard, the pillow was flat and soft. Neither my partner nor I were able to get a good rest. Of course this is a personal preference. It’s worth asking when booking which way it faces, because the wings that are separate from the main building are not very pleasant to walk in a bathrobe to the wellness area in winter. Not all of them have an underground corridor, ours did.
