The Casa de Retalhos blew me away – Diana and Mari took care of us at every turn, making the place feel relaxed and welcoming. The whole house feels cozy, every detail reflects its concept, and the quiet, peaceful vibe is something I’ll definitely chase again. Honestly, I liked everything about it.

We spent four days at the Pausada dos Retalhos and Diana was a super attentive host, always ready with tips for hikes and outings. The house’s décor matches her warm, natural style, and the village of Igatu offers great little restaurants, climbing with local guides, and even a visit to old mining ruins and a cave. Getting there took a night bus from Salvador to Tanquinho, then another bus to Andaraí and a taxi, a bit of a trek but totally worth it. Everything turned out perfect.

The place was tidy, nicely arranged and really pretty – all the little touches made the stay smoother. I appreciated how everything was kept clean and organized.

“Gostinho de quero mais!”

Loved every bit of it – the brand‑new mattresses and pillows were super comfy, the décor felt personal and the spaces were snug. The owner was attentive and Mari’s breakfast, made with obvious care, was a real highlight. Definitely worth the price.
