“Un lugar para ir y no regresar”
The rustic vibe of the place is charming, but it’s very expensive for what it offers. Breakfast consists of a bolillo with jam and coffee; anything extra costs more. There are no nearby restaurants, just a cheap kitchen that isn’t cheap at all and has poor service. No shops are close, and the cabins’ shop only sells beer and soft drinks. The staff at the front desk are rarely present; they mention a spa that doesn’t exist, and the pool is filthy with lots of mosquito larvae. Horses roam freely but their mess is left everywhere, and the owners never clarify if they’re for rent. There are no directional signs, and the location you’re given leads straight to the center of Huasca. The only attractions are a small waterfall and caves of “muercielagos,” but you’re charged 120 for the waterfall and 200 to enter the caves; I didn’t even ask about the zip line.
