“Very relaxing quirky accommodation on a lake with a sauna and wildlife around. Lovely hostess.”

The spot was amazing, the style was on point, and wildlife—swallows nesting, water birds, fish—were right outside the window. The sauna was great. The owner was fantastic, clearly passionate about her place, the community, and making sure guests enjoy themselves. I had expected to row to the Bunny House after reading reviews, but it’s now tethered to a jetty, which was a bit disappointing because I love the idea of a floating platform in the lake. Practically, the accommodation would have been too small for all four of us without the nice extra building on the lakeside—a sort of breakfast room. The host brought us homemade snacks and juice. We had a blast with the paddle board and rowing boat. The sauna, which is the second room of the Bunny House, takes a long time to cool down in the evening—don’t add more wood after 4 pm if someone is sleeping there. Bring plenty of mosquito repellent if you visit in summer like we did. The main bed was a bit uncomfortable.

“Ein origineller Ort für Naturliebhaber”

A unique living situation in a gorgeous landscape. You practically jump from the bed straight into the lake. The houseboat—or is it a stilt house?—is fixed to a pier, so rowing isn’t necessary. We were four and stayed only one night. Alone or two people can stay longer, rowing, SUP, swimming, hiking, etc.
