Overseas Tibet Hotel went beyond what we expected; the staff were incredibly helpful with trip planning and any issues that popped up. The driver was wonderful—safe, skillful, reliable, and helpful. The manager speaks fluent English and is easy to reach. The receptionist was delightful and the breakfast was good. The property offered great value, and I’d definitely return to Xiahe for another stay.

I had a truly pleasant stay in Xiahe; the location is outstanding, perfect for walking to the monastery and doing the kora. The staff are adorable, and the hotel has a lot of charm with genuine Tibetan décor. The rooms are lovely, though they could use a little refresh. Also, Losang, the owner, arranges multi‑day tours and chauffeur services to explore Amdo—highly recommended, it’s a great way to see the area. This place is worth recommending for its soul and hospitality.

The staff were very friendly and helpful, even assisting us with transportation from Lanzhou. There was nothing else noteworthy—obviously not a luxury property, but it was clean and comfortable.
