The setting in the mountains was beautiful, and the accommodation felt like we were sleeping in the trees. No complaints.

The location in the middle of mountains and forest was great. The hotel was very finicky about items in the room—charging us for using the laundry bags for our used clothes!

This was by far the best experience we had! The surroundings were enchanting, the room spacious, clean, and offered a beautiful view, and the staff were always on hand to help and ensured we had a carefree holiday. If you’re looking for a special experience in Northern Vietnam, Meliá Ba Vi Mountain Retreat comes highly recommended!

The staff were truly outstanding, especially Ang and Ha who went out of their way to make us feel comfortable and welcome, and the tour guide delivered a superb experience while the Spa team were super accommodating and caring—some of the best service we’ve ever received worldwide. However, the retreat’s remote location deep in the forest may not suit everyone, with warnings about venomous creatures and a general need for caution; we encountered numerous insects in our room, which at times made it hard to feel at ease, though that depends on the type of person you are.
