Nestled in an 18th‑century building in central Mariefred, Gripsholms BnB offers free parking and rooms with in‑room wash basins. Each room shares a bathroom and offers garden or Lake Mälaren views. The historic Gripsholm Castle lies a five‑minute walk away, while the train station is 3.4 km distant. Daily breakfast is available at Gripsholm Inn, a ten‑minute stroll.

Had a very nice stay in one of the buildings of Gripsholm castle. The room was comfy with a shared bathroom and toilets, as is typical in historic Swedish buildings. We walked (or could drive) to the inn for breakfast, which was amazing and served in a beautiful setting; I suppose the little walk (1 km) is a drawback, especially in winter. Nothing negative.

No positives. There were no glasses in the room, no shelves to put glasses on overnight, it was very quiet and quite expensive for that room.

The location is fantastic, but the room is very quiet and the lighting in the common area is poor.

The place is well‑kept, but the rooms are very small, making it hard to hang wet clothes. The shower and toilet share the same space, and there’s no shower cabin, so water splashes all over the floor.
