The location is good, near the metro and 10 minutes on foot from the station. The manager was very kind, and the tatami room with futon was nice and clean, though it lacked several accessories. Unfortunately, the common areas are not presentable, and the room for two is fine but would be too small for four.

The welcome message with the rules was very entertaining. Noise from the road was noticeable, and the room was very close to the street. It felt small for a family and there wasn’t much space to put bags outside the tatami area.

1. The location is about a 10‑minute walk from Kyoto Station, not too far but not very close. 2. It’s quiet and you can see Kyoto Tower. 3. The staff are very friendly. 1. The room is a bit small; two adults are fine, but a third would be cramped. The shower is tiny, making it hard to fully relax. 2. The reception is a bit messy, not luxurious, and doesn’t feel bright and tidy; the first impression is a bit shocking. 3. There is a balcony, but it’s not practical to open, so it’s effectively useless.

Easy to reach. The room was tiny but sufficient. Separate toilet and shower. Nice host.

The front desk staff who handled our check‑in and check‑out were very friendly, and they even printed a photo of us as a keepsake, which was a pleasant surprise. We were allowed to leave our luggage after checking out and retrieve it later. It would have helped to know that the door requires a bit of force to open, but that was likely just a user mistake, haha. I think the place could have been more communicative, and there isn’t much room to unpack luggage because the tatami area is free of storage, but that’s not a deal‑breaker.
