“Lovely property, great location for what we needed and would definitely stay again if in the area”

The property was lovely with huge rooms, Mark was very welcoming, the room was clean, and breakfast was a decent continental as described; the garden was beautiful. However, we booked a room with a private bathroom but had to walk downstairs, cross the house, and climb another set of stairs to reach a communal bathroom; we only stayed one night so it wasn’t a problem, but it would have been a bit annoying for a longer stay.

“Basic but good.”

The rooms were plain and basic, offering no eggs and very limited variety. The plastic chairs were unsafe and wobbly. The mattress in the single room was uneven and uncomfortable. Breakfast could have been better, and the seating was still plastic and shaky.

Mark really made my stay worthwhile, thank you. I would have liked a scramble egg if it had been possible for breakfast.

The area was quiet, which I appreciated. However, the breakfast could have been improved.
