Hotel Valentin sits beside the Gaislachkogel Cable Car, five minutes from Sölden centre. Renovated 2014 with glass walls, wood and stone, rooms provide panoramic views TV. The spa offers Finnish, steam and bio saunas, lounge, fireplace and fruit buffet. Restaurant serves Alpine cuisine; terrace hosts an après‑ski bar. Parking 80 m away; sports shop gives 15 % ski‑rental discount and arranges lessons.

I stayed right next to the train station in a spot that’s hard to beat. The rooms were spotless and the on‑site ski lift made getting to the slopes a breeze. Food was excellent and the staff were efficient and friendly, plus parking was free. The downside was the parking lot – it’s tiny, literally only a few spaces, and gets cramped when the hotel is busier.
