Kurulu Bay’s location is simply stunning, peaceful, thoughtfully designed, and deeply immersed in the surrounding jungle. The staff’s sincerity shines through, giving the place an authentic Sri Lankan vibe. The villas are beautiful, simple, and blend seamlessly into the jungle, making the whole experience truly magical.

It was a truly special stay; as a solo female traveler I felt safe, welcomed, and genuinely cared for from start to finish. The 24/7 support and exceptional hospitality made all the difference, and I loved how comprehensive the experience was with pilates, yoga, massages, and a peaceful atmosphere—more than just a hotel. The place is stunning—truly a serene getaway right near Ahangama. The decor was gorgeous, the food exceptional, and on our honeymoon we were kindly upgraded to a spectacular room. We’re already looking forward to another visit to Kurulu! The grounds are breathtaking, though we wish we could have stayed longer. The only downside was a few ants in the bathroom, but that’s expected in a tropical setting.
