Across the road is Taitung Forest Park, and you can keep walking to Coastal Park; for us slow‑lifestyle travelers, the location is perfect. If you don’t want to walk too far, you can rent an electric bike to enjoy a forest bath. The manmade lakes in the park are all beautiful. Seeing the sea is a must when you go to Taitung, and watching it from Coastal Park feels healing. The hotel breakfast was fairly generous, and the dining area has a distinct vibe. The only downside is that food nearby is inconvenient; you have to call a taxi to the livelier city centre to find a place to eat.
