“Sorpreso!”
I don’t usually write reviews, but this stay deserved it. Check‑in was warm, and the room greeted us with a pleasant scent, good ventilation, plenty of space and spotless cleanliness. Breakfast was excellent and, for my taste, very generous; the only minor gripe was that the fruit juices didn’t seem fresh except the pineapple one. I really appreciated the housekeeping staff’s diligence in keeping the breakfast area tidy, always present and ready to help—an effort that didn’t go unnoticed. The bed was very comfortable, and although the whirlpool was a bit small, at 1.90 m I slipped in without trouble; two people feel a little cramped, but overall it was fine. A pleasant surprise was the brand‑new Samsung TV, contrary to some reviews and photos that showed an older set, so updating those pictures would be wise because the outdated TV almost made me cancel. In the evenings my partner and I like to unwind with a couple of Netflix episodes before sleep, so the TV mattered. The shower was large, comfortable and clean. I also noticed a direct entrance from the canal, which I assume could be reached by gondola or water transport, though I didn’t investigate further. Overall we left very satisfied, impressed by the cleanliness, welcome and attention to detail. The hotel is just 3 minutes from the second vaporetto stop, 5 minutes from the Rialto Bridge and 15 minutes from Santa Lucia station. I even took a half‑hour walk at 4 am; the area felt safe and locals were friendly at that hour. The only downsides were a bit of noise from the breakfast hall around 6:30–7 am, and the soft‑whirlpool room’s door opened straight onto the dining area, which could disturb light sleepers, though my partner slept perfectly.
