The hotel is very pleasant, ideally situated 5 minutes from Durbar Square in Patan. The staff are attentive. The breakfast is very good.

If you want to stay just a stone's throw from the UNESCO‑listed Durbar Square in Patan and immerse yourself in authentic Nepali life, the Karuna Hotel is an excellent choice. Situated among local homes, the hotel places you right in the midst of daily life—children heading to school, women going to the market, and morning prayers at the temple. The hotel and its rooms are well equipped and spotless. Breakfast is prepared in an adjacent building under the same ownership—which also offers apartments for rent—but in my opinion, having the service provided directly within the hotel itself would be preferable. A real highlight is the reception staff: always very kind, highly professional, and ready to assist with any need. Highly recommended.
