The cabin had a wood‑burning stove, a great location, and a fabulous sauna.

Top notch! Everything—setting, surroundings, and staff—was great.

This tiny village, with its red fishermen’s cabins, felt like a hidden gem. Because it’s self‑catering, you have to set up your own bed, cook meals, and handle the trash, but the staff—friendly and always ready to help—made the experience smooth. They include services that usually cost extra elsewhere in Norway, such as laundry, kayaks, and a sauna, in the basic price. The main building has a snug room with a fireplace, and guests can enjoy coffee or tea while chatting with the welcoming owners and staff. It’s just a 10‑20 minute drive to the main attractions in the Solvær area.

A big social room with a fireplace, musical instruments (mainly a piano), sports gear (kayaks, badminton, ping‑pong), a sauna with sea cooling, a quiet environment, and friendly staff. But the mattresses were too soft, the floor was squeaky, the corridors were narrow, and the overall equipment felt old.
