Non‑smoking rooms with flat‑screen TVs, satellite channels, seating areas, desks, free toiletries, and hairdryers line the 15‑room Kanal‑Haus. A terrace overlooks the Kiel Canal, and a pedestrian tunnel is an eight‑minute walk away. The on‑site restaurant offers panoramic views and a sustainable breakfast from 7–10 a.m. Wi‑Fi, cycling, and hiking enhance the stay. Kiel, Schleswig, and Hamburg Airport are nearby.

Excellent location, the outdoor area with beach chairs and the view of the North‑East Sea Canal is great for sitting and watching. The restaurant staff are very nice. Check‑in starts at 16 h, check‑out is at 10 h. We were 20 minutes late for check‑out and got a reprimand right away.

A very nice room on the upper floor with a canal view. Thanks a lot. The only tiny flaw was the “unfinished croissants” at breakfast.

The room was spacious and offered an unobstructed view of the North‑East Canal. We liked the sustainable breakfast selection that was brought directly to our table, and the food in the restaurant was also very good, with tasteful décor.

The reception was very friendly and the view was beautiful. We enjoyed a great breakfast that we could order to our liking, meaning we only paid for what we wanted – that’s sustainable. Those who don’t need a large breakfast don’t subsidize others. The kitchen had almost no leftovers. Great concept! The only complaint is that we only stayed one night. We’ll come back!
