The bath and desk were great, but the view left something to be desired.

The location is absolutely perfect, the staff were friendly and amazing, the room was so comfortable, the decor and furniture lovely, excellent value for money, and I’ll definitely return.

The bed was comfortable and there was a nice view from the front window; the staff were polite and friendly enough. The room had a fridge, microwave, and a smart TV, with a nice enough decor, and it was perfectly clean. The adjoining property was literally a burnt‑out shell, the property across the road was empty, behind hoardings, and had smashed windows. In front of the building there were overflowing rubbish bins with food refuse on the floor. There was no toilet roll in the room, the shower was weak and ineffective, and there was no bedside lamp, so you could either have the main light on or nothing. Although the room itself was fine, this is probably one of the worst hotels I’ve ever stayed in. I’m not easily shocked, but I couldn’t quite believe how bad this place was.
