The hostel Kaszubska was clean, had comfortable beds and a fridge in the room, and the area was nice, close to the Market Square and Ostrów Tumski. The entrance after 22 and the hostel signage were problematic: at the gate you only see a board with “Kaszubska 8”, the building is deeper, unlit, and you only see the number 6 at the entrance after turning on a flashlight. You have to call the box, the person answering passes the information to an employee who opens the gate. I suggest sending the code in a message on booking for faster check‑in. In bad weather there is nowhere to hide while waiting.
The location was great, close to the city centre, and it was clean. Unfortunately the walls were a bit cardboard‑like, so if there is a loud neighbour it can be hard to sleep. It wasn’t a fight, but you can hear other people’s conversations. Short stays are fine.
I recommend staying at Hostel Kaszubska; it is clean, quiet, and the staff are friendly.
